SN2 — UWB Positioning Anchor / Base Station

The SN2 is an industrial‑grade UWB positioning anchor designed for high‑accuracy real‑time location systems. It supports Standard PoE or 12–24 V DC power, delivers sub‑meter performance (<30 cm LoS), and features an IP66 enclosure for harsh indoor/outdoor environments. Multiple mounting options (ceiling, wall, pole clamp) make deployment easy in factories, warehouses, and tunnels. Optional 4G/Wi‑Fi backhaul, AI video add‑on, and sound‑light alarm extend the anchor’s capability for safety and analytics. System Architecture

Wired with Net Cable

This topology illustrates a standard wired UWB RTLS deployment using SN2 anchors with PoE switches and an aggregation switch for data backhaul.

  • The server-side positioning platform receives and processes all UWB tag and anchor data.
  • Data Center: The positioning platform software runs on the server and performs real-time location calculation and data storage.
  • Data Transmission: UWB anchors forward received tag messages to PoE switches through Ethernet cables; PoE switches send data to the aggregation switch via Ethernet or optical fiber.
  • Positioning Anchors: SN2 anchors are installed in required indoor or semi-indoor spaces to receive UWB tag signals.
  • Positioning Tags: Various tags—including wristbands, card tags, helmets, handheld/fusion terminals and asset tags—send UWB signals to anchors for personnel, vehicle and asset tracking.

Network Topology
Wired
Typically deployed in a wired UWB RTLS architecture with PoE switches and an aggregation switch connecting back to the server. SN2 anchors receive tag messages over UWB and send data via Ethernet to the positioning platform. Optional 4G / Wi-Fi backhaul can be used for sites where cabling is difficult.

SN2 anchors are installed above production lines and aisles to track workers and forklifts in real time. The positioning platform supports geofencing, collision alerts and electronic attendance to improve safety and dispatch efficiency.

Ceiling

Indoor Recommended mounting height 4–8 m; typical anchor spacing 20–40 m depending on layout.

Recommended for open workshops or process halls to provide uniform UWB coverage above people and vehicles.

Wall

Indoor Mounted 3–4 m above floor level along corridors or tunnel walls.

Used in narrow tunnels or corridors where ceiling mounting is not convenient; anchors face into the working area for better line-of-sight.

It supports POE/DC power supply, offers sub-meter positioning accuracy, and is designed with an IP66 waterproof & dustproof rating and an explosion-proof housing.
